19th Century hutch table in pine
19th Century hutch table in pine. The top pivots on two removable, hand turned pins in the back to convert from a table to a seat. Two additional hand turned pins secure the top in the down position. These were popular in small, old kitchens where there was little room so, when not needed as a table, the top was flipped up and pushed against a wall as a seat. The seat is hinged and lifts to reveal additional storage space. It looks great in either position.
